Keith Davis has established a distinguished pocket option reputation as a jazz pianist, composer, and educator during his more than 30 years as a professional musician. He has toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Artie Shaw Orchestra, with Matt “Guitar” Murphy ( Blues Brothers ), and was a member of the Teddy Adams Quintet, which led to the recording of two CDs.
Keith has also performed such great musicians as David “Fathead” Newman, Ben Riley, Mike Mainieri, Pat LaBarbera, and Frank Foster.
He has been featured at the Savannah Jazz Festival, the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, and others. He served on the faculty of the Brevard College Summer Jazz Workshop from 1998 through 2000, with guest artists including Conrad Herwig, Byron Stripling,
Ronnie Cuber, and Wycliffe Gordon.
Keith has studied with respected is pocket option legit Atlanta jazz instructor Ted Howe, as well as with classical pianist Steve Hall. He also attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied with renowned saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi.
Keith’s participation in the 1985 Banff Summer Jazz Workshop in Banff, Alberta, Canada included intensive study with such faculty members as Dave Liebman, Dave Holland, John Abercrombie, Don Thompson, Kenny Wheeler and Cecil Taylor.
Currently, Keith lives in Greenville, SC, where he serves as Adjunct Instructor of Jazz Piano at Furman University. He performs throughout the region and also teaches privately.
Keith’s trio has just released their first Cd, entitled “Still”, featuring his original compositions. The CD features Ron Brendle on bass and Justin Watt on drums. It is already available as a download on his website and from many online sites, including Amazon and iTunes.
